Ana Ramos-Hernandez, Consultant at TCC Group, has a background in program development and management, research and strategic planning and has over 10 years of experience with nonprofits from all around the world.
Ramos-Hernandez has been working at TCC Group since 2004 on a variety of strategy and evaluation assignments. Through this work she has developed a keen ability to think strategically for her clients, use data for the purpose of understanding organizational issues and helping clients make strategic decisions, and she has built her knowledge base on a variety of content areas that range from association management, to healthcare, to international development.
She has assisted a variety of organizations on strategic planning, including Episcopal Community Services, Autodealers Caring for Kids, The Netter Center for Community Partnerships, and the Congressional Hunger Center, among others. She has conducted organizational assessments and developed structuring recommendations for the United Services Organization (USO), Instituto Federal para el Acceso a la Información (IFAI), the Maryknoll Lay Missioners, and cancer organizations throughout Latin America through an initiative of the American Cancer Society. She has supported evaluation efforts of clients such as the GAP Foundation's Plan Ahead and This Way Ahead Initiatives, International Planned Parenthood Federation, the Wachovia Teachers in Teaching Initiative (TTI), and the Prudential Foundations' CRD and PNP initiatives. She is currently on the Executive Committee of the Board of Public Citizens for Children and Youth.
Prior to coming to TCC, Ramos-Hernandez was awarded a fellowship position at the Reagan-Fascell Fellowship Program at the National Endowment for Democracy, where she conducted best practices research on legislative monitoring in Latin America and the US. From 2002-2004, she worked on enhancing the Philadelphia Department of Human Services' Foster Care Performance-based Contracting System for which she was awarded the University of Pennsylvania's Fels Institute of Government Excellence in Performance Measurement Award. She also served as coordinator of the project Visible Candidates—Visible Congress, an organization dedicated to monitoring legislative activity and the performance of Colombian Congress and to empowering citizens by disseminating accurate, complete and impartial information on Colombian legislators.
Ramos-Hernandez earned a law degree from the University of Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia and holds a Masters degree in Governmental Administration with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Pennsylvania.
