Cases In Point

PLANNING PROCESS FOR GOLDMAN SACHS

The Goldman Sachs Charitable Services Group engaged TCC Group to develop a new strategic signature program to complement their employee involvement and corporate giving programs. TCC helped develop the framework for the program, gained consensus and participation within the firm, and developed overall recommendations for “The Capacity Initiative,” a multi-year program focused on building the capacity of Goldman Sachs community partner organizations.  TCC is now providing capacity-building workshops and training sessions for over 300 nonprofits involved in the initiative.

MANAGEMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION FOR PFIZER

TCC assisted the Pfizer Foundation with the initial design of its Southern HIV/AIDS Prevention Initiative, from high-level strategic development to the selection of the grantees, including all aspects of the grantmaking and grantee management process. The Initiative was a three-year, multi-million dollar effort with 24 grantees and 35 other finalist organizations dedicated to HIV/AIDS prevention efforts in 10 states in the South.

EVALUATION FOR WACHOVIA

After assisting in the strategic development and implementation of the Wachovia Foundation’s signature program, the Teachers and Teaching Initiative, TCC Group developed an evaluation design and process that allowed the Foundation to make strategic grantmaking decisions throughout the life of the Initiative and identify best practices for the field of K-12 education.
