Cultivating trusted partnerships with donors committed to positive change

Inspired by both the scale of today’s societal challenges and the untapped potential of private philanthropy to address those challenges, Daniel develops trusted partnerships with institutional, family, individual, and corporate funders to enable them to realize their philanthropic goals.

Over the past 15 years, Daniel has advised dozens of impact-driven philanthropists on articulating their visions, developing their giving strategies, and deploying their passion and resources to transform the fields of health, education, global nutrition, affordable housing, local journalism, public interest technology, and many others.

At TCC Group, Daniel leads the firm’s philanthropy practice, one of the organization’s four core practice areas. He heads a team of passionate change-makers who work closely with philanthropists to develop their funding strategies, manage and implement their giving, and translate their philanthropic visions into real impact.

Before joining TCC, Daniel served as a core member at Arabella Advisors, a Certified B Corporation. There, he advised dozens of funders – including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and many others – on strategic planning; program implementation; measurement, evaluation, and learning, and diversity, equity and inclusion. He also led the firm’s grants management advisory practice, which developed best practices for innovative grantmaking, prize competition, and challenge initiatives and helped funders design and implement their own such programs.
