Our Team Tim Hausmann Consultant Email TIm Bridging gaps between data, equity, and people Tim believes that data-driven decision-making is key to maximizing mission fulfillment, whether for strategic planning, audience development, programmatic improvement, or day-to-day evaluative thinking. With a background in the performing arts, Tim leverages his interpersonal skills to take the fear and stigma out of data collection and analysis, helping colleagues and partners realize the many ways that data can inform daily decisions. At TCC Group, Tim performs data analysis, support, and compilation for a wide variety of nonprofit partners. Passionate about bridging equity gaps in society, he is motivated to increase access to basic human needs, as well as to experiences that enrich human lives such as education. Prior to joining TCC, Tim worked for The Broadway League, where he oversaw the ongoing data collection initiatives that measure the ticket purchasing habits of Broadway audiences, along with the industry’s economic impact on New York City. At TCC Group: Core Capacity Assessment Tool (CCAT): Trained in the CCAT, Tim has experience coordinating the Facilitator Community of Practice (FCOP) certification process, which trains local consultants on CCAT implementation and interpretation. He executes research, interview transcription, document review, and troubleshooting for nonprofit partners seeking to improve their organizational effectiveness and overall capacity. He also conducts extensive research into relational capacity—defined as the ability of an organization to understand its ecosystem and adapt as it evolves—sharing his findings with the firm on an ongoing basis. San Antonio Area Foundation (SAAF): Tim works to strengthen the Texas regional foundation’s regional capacity-building ecosystem by using focused, rigorous national market research, training local capacity-building consultants, and designing a comprehensive participatory grantmaking initiative. Tim conducts regional and national landscape analyses to help the Foundation understand how it is uniquely positioned to contribute to the existing capacity-building ecosystem through its cohort-based, peer-learning program. In his work, Tim draws from his graduate thesis that centers on organizational needs for capacity-building funds. Before TCC Group: The Broadway League: Tim performed a variety of research responsibilities for the New York-based, national trade association for Broadway producers. He oversaw data collection initiatives that measure consumer behaviors and demographics of Broadway audiences, as well as the Broadway industry’s economic impact in New York City. While managing the League’s survey programs, he coordinated the use of various survey tools and research methods for a variety of Broadway productions. He also performed secondary research, analytics support, and developed quantitative methods to measure the economic health of the Broadway touring market. Hennepin Theatre Trust: Working for the Trust’s Education and Community Engagement Department, Tim planned a sensory-friendly production of Disney’s The Lion King, Minnesota’s first-ever presentation of a Broadway tour specifically for individuals and families of individuals with sensory, social, and learning disabilities. In addition, Tim managed departmental data and developed systems for increased accountability to funders for the Minneapolis-based, nonprofit theatre organization.
