Our Team Vanessa Lara Finance Manager Email Vanessa Bridging HR and Finance to support an inclusive firm culture grounded in sound policies and a strong financial structure A staff champion and driver of efficient operations, Vanessa’s day-to-day interactions across HR, Finance, and Information Technology help inform and optimize firmwide resources. With over five years at TCC, Vanessa helps guide and support teams so that they can do their best work, drive social change, and make a difference in the world. In her finance role, she handles all client billing, reporting, collections, and vendor processing. As a key contributor to the firm’s operations, Vanessa plays an important role in system and process improvements, technology support, as well as overall office management. Vanessa is a friendly and trusted sounding board who continually takes the time to understand and support different workstyles and preferences. Her energy and compassion contribute to an open and supportive culture at TCC. She worked closely with the CFO to build policies and processes reflective of the firm culture and drove the development of onboarding plans for new associates including customized plans to support individual needs and roles. In her finance role, Vanessa managed billing and accounts payable. In her HR role, she negotiated health insurance plans and managed annual enrollment and other benefits. Bartley Bogle Hegarty (BBH): Vanessa served as a lead in the development and implementation of the global firm’s financial management system upgrade across offices in London, Singapore, New York, Shanghai, India, Los Angeles, and Sweden. She was the system’s only superuser, configuring and testing across multiple offices and ensuring clean and accurate data import and export. Education: Fordham University BS, Accounting
