This workshop will explore how immigrant communities and grassroots leaders have won critical victories not by waiting on elected officials, but by building people power and holding decision makers accountable. From stopping deportations to securing protections like DACA and DAPA, to ending harmful agreements, our history shows that true change comes when directly impacted people fight for themselves. Participants will learn lessons from these struggles and how to apply them in today’s fights for immigrant justice, racial justice, and LGBTQ liberation.
