Using statistical analysis to create equitable outcomes

“If I had an hour to solve a problem, I’d spend 55 minutes thinking about the problem and 5 minutes thinking about solutions.”  Albert Einstein

As an analyst, Seth’s goal is to achieve equitable and sustainable outcomes.  He provides interdisciplinary data analysis for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Lever for Change, ViiV Healthcare, Connecticut Health Foundation and the United Way of Greater Lehigh Valley. Using research and interpretation, he teases out specific themes and patterns to build an overall narrative, and create clear, perceptive visualizations that summarize his findings. This data allows our Evaluation and Learning Team to offer conclusions and recommendations to clients.

After noticing a gap between what some programs were designed to accomplish, and their actual end results, Seth was driven to become an analyst. Attracted to the field of Evaluation, he came to believe that proper monitoring and evaluation analysis were crucial for communities and projects to achieve their full potential.

Seth has worked as an educator, project coordinator and data analyst in both the private and public sectors. He taught adults in refugee and immigrant communities in the United States, and youth in the U.S. and Latin America. Seth coordinated, as well as managed and analyzed data, for evaluation projects in Latin America related to fair trade, biodiversity and education at Measurement Matters in Bogota, Colombia.  In Northwest Oregon, he monitored and analyzed data for the Federal Title IC (Migrant Education) and Title III (English Language Learner) programs at the Migrant Education Project, which worked with over 600 migrant students and their families.
