Making the Case for Inclusion of Muslim, Arab, and South Asian (MASA) communities into Racial Justice, Immigration Portfolios

Making the Case for Inclusion of Muslim, Arab, and South Asian (MASA) communities into Racial Justice, Immigration Portfolios will explore how organizations and activists in the MASA field are identifying as part of the racial justice movement and how funders are aligning funding to MASA and Muslim communities within a racial justice portfolio. The afternoon conversation and workshop brings together donor partners, thought leaders, and those interested in making grants to MASA communities together to share stories, learn helpful models, and discuss practical ways of supporting MASA communities in the long-term—beyond “rapid-response” moments.

The Security & Rights Collaborative (SRC) is the only national donor collaborative dedicated to supporting MASA communities.  The SRC works with partners to support MASA leaders, fight anti-Muslim bigotry and xenophobia, and ensure that MASA communities are full participants in our civil society. Together with our partners, we are working to empower MASA communities to work in common cause with allies across a range of movements for social and racial justice.
